Women are underrepresented in the tech industry. So here at the Tech Redefined, we are trying to bridge this gap. Figures show that only 26% of women work in computing related roles. Only 3% of computing related roles are held by black women. See figures here on the disparity depending on countries. Silicon Milkroundabout is one of Londons biggest recruitment event, Tech redefined as been invited to take part to show the representation when it comes to the tech industry.
Academy X Tech Redefined
Tech Redefined collaborated with Academy.tech, a company dedicated to training and placing inexperienced software engineers in job positions. Together, we organized a comprehensive recruitment workshop, providing valuable insights into their application and interview process. Additionally, Academy generously conducted a free coding workshop, empowering members of our community with essential coding skills.
SheCanCode X Tech Redefined
Tech Redefined actively worked with SheCanCode as a community partner for their Hackathon at the hackathon, women had the incredible opportunity to build an app, website, or hosted solution that will directly support women who are facing obstacles when re-entering the
workforce after a break.
CloudFlare X Tech Redefined
Cloudflare hosted their Black Women In Tech Fireside chat event for Black History Month and Tech Redefined worked as a community partner to promote and show representation at their events.
Diverse Futures X Tech Redefined
Diverse futures are a Data apprenticeship programme who are aims to get diverse candidates from low socio economic backgrounds into Data roles at top tech companies. Tech Redefined worked with Diverse futures to market and attract the correct diverse candidates from their community.
